On April 6, 2015, National Science Library, Chinese Academy of Sciences announced that Journal of Cryptologic Research was indexed by Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD) as core journal. The Editorial Department applied the indexation by CSCD in August 2014. Although having not been published consecutively for two years, one of the prerequisites for indexation generally, the journal was indexed exceptionally for its high profile of Editorial Board members and the quality of the journal.

The successful indexation as core journal for Journal of Cryptologic Research, after one year’s establishment, is benefitted from the quality of the contributions firstly. All of our fellow authors fully support the newly launched journal by submitting their competitive research results and high quality papers. Secondly, Editorial Board members and our fellow peer reviewers take full responsibility for the quality of the journal; peer reviewers follow the standards of the most selective journals in the field, professionally and comprehensively review the each contribution, and feedback the detailed revision suggestions. Thirdly, our fellow readers contribute the thoughtful suggestions and professional opinions to the establishment and the development of the journal, helping the journal to keep improving. Besides, with all these professional support, in-house editors strictly follow the guidance of the Editorial Board, decently process each submission; guidelines and standards in STM publishing are also strictly followed to guarantee the consistent format and the publishing quality of the journal. Meanwhile, in-house editors actively suggest the title to indexation institutions or databases worldwide in order to promote the visibility of the journal in a large range of cryptology community.

Indexation by CSCD as newly launched journal is the compliment to journal’s establishment stage. From this stand, the Editorial Department will diligently work together with our prestigious Editorial Board and our fellow peer reviewers, promote the journal to a higher academic level, a better publishing quality, and a broader platform, to better serve the research professions and the community of the cryptology field.
