Aims and Scope

Journal of Cryptologic Research, sponsored by Chinese Association for Cryptologic Research, was first published on February 25, 2014 and has consecutively published on schedule up till now. The Chinese title is Mima Xuebao (密码学报), and it has never been changed. The ISSN is 2095-7025 and the CODEN is MXIUAL. We are honored to have 6 prestigious academicians and 77 famous researchers as our fellow members of the Editorial Board contributing to the journal. The Editor-in-Chief is Mr. Dengguo Feng, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Journal of Cryptologic Research is published in Chinese with English title and abstract by Editorial Department of Journal of Cryptologic Research bimonthly.


Journal of Cryptologic Research is a peer reviewed academic journal covering a wide range of the theory and application of cryptography and information security. Its targeted subjects include the foundation of cryptography, symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, digital signature and authentication, security protocols, applications of cryptography, and so on.


In April 2015, the second year of the establishment, the journal was indexed into the Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD), the most selective citation database in China. With this indexation, the Journal of Cryptologic Research is visible internationally. This is because of the strategic cooperation between CSCD and Web of Science, formerly Web of Knowledge; international readers can reach the content of the journal through surfing on Web of Science. 


In October 2017, the journal was indexed into the Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers and Citation Database (CSTPCD), another well-known citation database in China. 
       

In July 2019, the journal was indexed into Scopus.
        

In November 2020, the journal was indexed into VINITI AJ and JST.


In 2023, the journal was included in ProQuest, EBSCO, World Journal Clout Index (WJCI) Report of Scientific and Technological Periodicals, and A Guide to the Core Journals of China.
      

Journal of Cryptologic Research is designated to establish a worldwide communication platform for the experts, researchers, and graduate students in the discipline of cryptography.
