On May 10, 2017, led by YU Yan-Ping, Secretary General of Chinese Association for Cryptologic Research (CACR), and OUYANG Yong-Gui, director of Editorial Board of Journal of Cryptologic Research, 4 delegates visited the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China (ISTIC), to communicate with PAN Yun-Tao, director of The Research Center for Information Science Methodology (RCISM) and Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers and Citations Database (CSTPCD), on the progress of Journal of Cryptologic Research and its indexation profile.

Secretary General YU Yan-Ping introduced the aims and progress of the journal, especially the full support from the CACR. Director OUYANG Yong-Gui presented the basic information about the journal, the assurance of editing and proofreading proficiency, influence of the published articles and reviews, as well as the uniqueness of the cryptology discipline. Director Pan Yun-Tao inquired more on the cryptology discipline and the journal while quickly reviewing the hard copies, and highly appraised the standard and consistency of such a newly established journal. She also elaborated the selection procedures of CSTPCD and the cooperation with Engineering Index of Elsevier, and contributed the specific thoughtful suggestions for the further development of the journal.

CSTPCD and Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD) are two main well-known citation databases in China. They are established by ISTIC and National Science Library, Chinese Academy of Sciences respectively. In April 2015, Journal of Cryptologic Research was indexed by CSCD. At the beginning of 2016, the journal filed the application to CSTPCD, in light to be indexed. We hope to collaborate more with CSTPCD, to promote the further development of the journal on a higher level platform.
